Sax e Tromba: i nuovi docenti da Novembre 2008



A partire dal mese di novembre 2008 saranno attivati i due nuovi corsi tenuti rispettivamente dal m° Roberto Rega - sassofono, - e Sandro Chicarella - tromba trombone -.

Sandro Chicarella, nuovo collaboratore di Jazz On, è nato a Tagliacozzo nel 1964 e si è diplomato nel Conservatorio di Musica "A. Casella" dell'Aquila sotto la guida del m° S. Verzari.
Tra le sue partecipazioni ricordiamo: Il Festival di Riva del Garda, la Rassegna Internazionale degli Ottoni di Roma, il Festival di Musica Barocca di Viterbo.
Per l'attività concertistica citiamo le collaborazioni con l'Orchestra Sinfonica della Rai di torino, i filarmonici di Torino, l'Orchestra sinfonica della'Arena di Verona, il Teatro Regio di Torino, la Fenice di Venezia, l'Orchestra dei Giovani Strumentisti Piceni.
Tra i concorsi il III posto al concorso di Musica per i giovani di Stresa, il Primo posto e borsa di studio presso la Scuola di Alto Perfezionamento Musicale di Saluzzo.
come solista ha collaborato con l'Orchestra Filarmonica Marchigiana, con il teatro dell'Opera di Cagliari, con l'Orchestra sinfonica della Rai di roma e con l'Orchestra Giovanile "Accademia Pescarese"
Attualmente e in forze alla Banda Musicale della Polizia di Stato

1981-1984: Music courses at “LAB2” Music Workshop (Rome) with Maestro Sandro Satta.
Active member of Sandro Satta’s jazz workshop and harmony workshop.
1985: Music courses with maestro and jazz player Massimo Urbani.
1986- 1990: Followed 7-days seminars and workshops of American jazz players: Steve Grossman, David Liebman, George Garzone.
1995: Courses of electronic composition, digial composition and sound engineering.

EXPERIENCE:

As it would not be possible to retrace and include in this C. V. all my concerts, my collaborations and the places where I have performed since 1984, please find only a selection of main events:
August 1985: Performance at the International Jazz Club Hot Brass in Aix-en-Provence (Marseille) with BSAA Quintet. Thanks to our great success offered a second date.

Winter 1986: Saxophonist in resident orchestra of TV Program Premiatissima (with Johnny Dorelli) on Canale 5/Fininvest Videotime Production.
4th May 1989: Live on Radio1 national broadcast: Evening Jazz. BSAA quintet and special guest American jazz player Tony Scott.
1989: Tourneè of concerts in various Italian cities (Perugia, Teramo, Pescara, Catanzaro…) with The Right View Jazz Sextet. Jazz Festival Rome with Oliver Bernay sextet, special guest Maurizio Urbani.
21th Oct 1991: Live on Rai3 television.Saxophone player in Woodie Shaw Memorial Band, special guest George Garzone (Alpheus, Rome).
1993: Festival “Jazz nellaValle” on Massimo Urbani’s death anniversary with Gianfranco Tedeschi on bass, Giampiero Silvestri on drums, Bruno Marinucci on guitar.
Opened “Rome Jazz Festival” at Villa Celimontana in Rome, dedicated to Massimo Urbani.
1994: Founder member of the group Cyberfunk and composer of its music.
During 1996 Various concerts in Rome with a Jazz Quartet (R.Rega, G.Tedeschi,L.Bernar,M.Scuderi) Among them: Alpheus, Teatro Maya, festival “Estate Musicale Romana”.
June- Sept 2000: Moved to Corsica (France). Founder member of the group Natural Music together with Tristan Loriaut e Laurent Cardoni.
20-concerts summer turneè in numerous Corsican clubs.
Dec 2000: Musical collaboration with arpist and sitarist Andrea Sechi. Recording and production of CD “Fairylands” elfic circle.
Mar-Nov 2001: Saxophonist in “La Calle de los Niños Orchestra” (Cuban Salsa).
Summer tourneè in Viterbo and Rome, Participating to various cultural and musical festivals.
10 Febr 2001: Saxophonist at painter Paola Alviano-Glaviano showroom together with Laura Talluri’s contact dancers. (Goa-Rome)
july 2004: Special guest together with Tony Formichella for “Mauro Verrone Stabile Orchestra” (San Polo dei Cavalieri) Rome.
from 2002 to 2007: Moved to Scotland (Glasgow-Edinburgh) partecipating to various jazz concerts (Drum & monkey, Mc Chills jazz club, Black friars) playing with Ronnie Rae, Fionna Duncan, Jim Clelland, Paul Harrison, Robert Henderson, Ricky Taylor, June Love, Crawford McCallun, Lorna Brown etc.
